The Winter Territory

The somber pelted male's eyes opened slowly. His optics scanned the surroundings. Looking. Searching. Inside... He was inside the den. Yes, that was right. There was a blizzard that snowed him in... Who was he with? He recalled Feather and Katria. Either way it didn't matter, the snow storm had died, blanketing the forests and valleys with snow. It appeared the sentinel had blacked out. Death had been grabbing him, trying to pull him under. Luckily the storm died down when it did, for if it hadn't, who knew what would be of him now. He tried not to think about but his curiosity got the better of him. Who survived? Who... Died?

The canine's muscles yelping in protest as he hulled his figure to a sitting position. Hot blood thawed his frozen skeleton. His bones creaked like rotting wood as he shifted. Before too long he was taking his first step out into the icy wonderland. The gray furred mammal let a yawn escape his jowls, his breath clouded into a small cloud that slowly diminished into the sky. Spite the cold of the snow, he was able to warm up after a couple steps into the white sleet.

The right corner of his lip curled upward when he saw Blue, Katria and some other's he didn't recognize. Of course he hadn't assumed that everybody didn't make it, he was just so happy to see someone in so long... Then suddenly a rainbow unicorn came flying out from behind the trees. It's black mane sparkled against the white snow. The enchanted creature's horn was no more then a foot long but it looked like it could pierce right through it's target. The magical creature pranced right across the snow careful not to break it's surface. The mystic horse then galloped away without saying a word. The lupas chuckled under his breath at his own imagination. The wolf named Ray pranced towards the group of wolves just like the miraculous unicorn had, in his head.

Wait...wot? this pack is still alive? o.o

Not hearing a response, Náhani perked her receptors, whiffing at the air as her tail scooped up with a slight sway to and fro. Her greenish amber twin pools swept over in the direction of approaching movement that lurked close, perking her lobes forth a bit, a canid bounded over with the conversing wolves. Staring for a moment, the lass bent her hind limbs and went into a sitting position amongst her rump, not knowing about the clump of snow she sat down and jumped, adjusting her position again, with her tail scooped to her left side dangling over the snowy surface.

She shuffled her fore paws in the snow, so she wouldn't be in discomfort from the brisk chill that grazed her paws with a slushed wetness on her pads. Otherwise, her paws would've froze from a prolonged time of standing or sitting, without movement in her muscles to elevate them from the exposure of the winter climate. So, when keeping her gesture at a point like a statue, she waited for the other canids to dismiss her and the other loner or to escort them, either way it'll take her time to fully adjust to a group.
