The Summer Territory

Drake pounced on the rabbit as it ran towards him. He bit down on it hard, killing it. "I win." He mumbled, turning to Flame. He noticed her wide eyes and her panicked breathing. Something was terribly wrong. He dropped the rabbit and rushed over to her. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked in a rush, not sure what was going on

flame looked up at drake and said in an unsteady voice "i'm fine" she looked at him and thought 'does he know what a soothesayer does?" She steaded her self "I'm a soothesayer right? Well from time to time we have short visoins of the futer and well thats what just happend and well' she said making sure there was no blood on her pelt "It wasn't good"

"Do you want to lie down?" he asked, "You seem pretty shaken up." He walked back to the rabbit he had caught and brought it to Flame. "Here, have some rabbit"

Flame nodded and layed down "ok and drake, thank you" she took a few half-hearted bites before pushing it back to him. After a few moments flame got up 'drake I need to talk with blue" and she ran to Blue "Blue I had a vison!" suddenly she felt dizzy and had to sit down

Blue plucked her attention from the newest fae, giving it to her apprentice. It was starting to grow on her nerves, how the newcomers never paid her any attention, ignoring her greetings.

A new vision, eh? It was odd to have them so close together, even more so when they were in the same day. Blue felt a slow, sinking feeling in her chest. That couldn't be good.

Her eyes chilled themselves with intensity. She nodded to Flame, just once, before more or less comanding, "Alright, let us hear it then."

flame almost jumped when something hit her. She looked down a a young sqealing bunny and quick as a flash she picked it up in her jaws and threw in to the ground, killing it instantly. Flame turned back to ble and said "wow bunny's are stupid or what!"

Momma was right wolves will kill the moment they get the chance. The wolf had picked her up and threw her to the ground. It felt like she would die right there and then, of course she did as soon as Kiki had hit the ground. Her soul had left with her last staggered breath "I...i..i..willl.....ll....." Her sentence cut short.

Back at the hare hole:

um no, she left a while ago I think...
Ya she did I think she died or got eaten.

"Sure" Drake said, watching Flame walk over to Blue. 'I hope she's going to be okay. It must be tough being a soothslayer if this happens every time you have a vision.' He finished the rabbit he caught as he watched her and blue talk. He laughed when he saw a rabbit run straight into Flame. "Rabbits sure are easy to catch here." He said to himself, not sure if anyone was listening.

(AHHH! So many posts!!! Dx I'll have to make a post later since I'm too lazy to do so at the moment. And since I'm the all powerful Kanae, I can spam. ^^)

Blue glanced in Amuro's direction, watching him sleep peacefully. He had the right idea. She looked back to Flame, excusing herself, "Hold that thought,"

Blue ducked out of their circle (which, may I add, was growing quickly) and trotted up to Amuro's resting spot. She examined the grass for a bit, unhappy with her findings. Though, upon raising her head, the forest seemed a much more luxurious place. She skirted around Amuro's sleeping form, and padded into the forest.

Along the way, she passed that same rabbit hole as before, the one she had chased that hare into before... Well, she 'met' Gale, as well as Kanae. She sat next to it curiously, trying to see through the dark.

She was alone. Simply peering into a rabbit hole without any cares in the world. She should know better than anyone that in this territory, he lurks silently. His eyes lock onto the wolf with a burning hate. It's because of her that the white fae is so cautious now. He would put an end to that, to her.

Dost strode out of his cover, the fur on the nape of his neck bristling. With every pawstep his long, dangerous claws extended. Saliva coated the inside of his mouth and he hissed with anger and malice. If he had stuck to stealth the female wolf who be dead however, Dost wanted to make the last thing she saw was him. Her fear would make the others come to her aid; granting him the chance to finally have access to the lead wolf. What was left of his powerful muscles rippled in his shoulders even though his skin clung to his ribs.

This wolf was going to die.

Blue's head jerked up instantly, at the sound of a low menacing hiss. There he was. The same cougar in her vision, the scene so hauntingly exact it was sickening.

Blue leapt to her paws immediantly, her fur bristling intensely. She bared her fangs, in a clear display of threat. Her ivory fangs glistened in deep contrast with the darker shades of grey in her pelt, and causing what little black she had to stand out proudly. Involuntarily, she lifted her tail high, its dominant position.

She crouched lower, protecting her throat and soft underbelly, a violent growl rumbling in her throat. With each step he took, she growled louder, bringing her eyes up to stare defiantly into his own.

But, nagging her mind, was the end of the vision. Where he leaped at her, about to tear her to shreds. She couldn't take him on alone. She knew that. ...Was she meant to die at his claws? She snarled, she wasn't afraid. If she was to be ended, then she wouldn't go down without a fight.

Flame wipped around to see her worst nightmare standing before her mentor.Flame slowly stalked up to where blue was and made a rush at the couger than jumped out of reach. She reapeted this, getting closer and closer with every little rush untill she lunged out a it. Landing on its back and she dug in her front claws near its eyes and bit the back of the courger's neck. As flame held on her dreams came to mind 'was it about a death in the pack, or her?' she diden't care what would become of her and she would hold on no matter what the beast did to her, she would not let go.He could roll on his back if would like, she would still hang on for her pack and Drake. :D

Dost had been about to strike at the female who stood before him. However, another wolf raced from the trees and dared to cling to his back. Though weakened, the cougar was still more powerful than the younger wolf. With a vicious snarl he fell to his stomach and rolled onto his back; putting his mass onto the female until she was forced to let go. When he stood and leapt back with his teeth bared he thought of attacking the two of them and then drawing the attention of the rest. There was a hesitance to do so though; he simply lunged towards the older wolf and brought his claws across her flank, wounding her. It was longer than it was deep. One that would send a warning to the rest of the pack. The cougar only stood there for a few seconds longer before turning back to the shadows.

He would come back.

Flame wan't surprised when the giant cat had rolled over onto her but she wasn't counting the ground to be litterd with sharp rock than cut deep into her skin as the cat squashed the daylights out of her.Though she tried flame couldn't hold on for very long and let go of the cat but not before she left some deep scars for the cat to remember her by before she passed out. Flame opened her eyes just in time to see the cat rake its claw down blue's side and flame jumped to her feet and snarled at the couger as it ran before turning to blue."Blue.. are you ok..." flame half couhted out and blood from a cut on her head ran into her eyes but then Flame felt dizzy and her vision blured as her feet gave way and she colasped on her side, breathing heavly.

Mist whipped around at the hiss from the cougar. Her eyes grew wide as a young fae lunged at the cougar and clung to his back. Her body was rigid and she couldn't move for a few moments. Shaking herself mentally she thought, I have to help them... I have to prove to the alphaness that I am a good recruit option...

Pelting after the cougar at top speed, the fae growled, "Get back here you mange pelt!" The cat paused for a moment, just a moment, giving her the perfect opportunity. Mist crouched in the undergrowth, ready to spring. Judging her leap perfectly, the gray an white fae sprung into the air and landed squarely on the cat's shoulders, causing it to loose it's balance.

Snarling, Mist jumped off of the cougar and lunged at him again. Unfortunatly, the cougar was too quick for Mist to grab his leg. However, the fae's powerful jaws shattered the cat's tail, infuriating him. It whipped around and scored it's claws down her shoulder. Letting out a yelp of pain, Mist backed up and snarled, bracing herself for the next attack.

After he clawed the young wolf's shoulder, he bellowed. It was a new warning. One that would signify war. After this, there would be nothing to hold him back from attacking. The cougar was done with all of this waiting and planning. The wolves in Dost's territory would be dealt with and promptly. With one last swipe of his massive paws, the cougar retreated into the shadows. He would only wait for a day more before launching an invasion. Or perhaps he would attack tonight? A dark smile crossed his lips.

This was going to be fun.

Gale felt his blood boiling when he first caught the scent of Blue's blood. His paws took him to the fae and he pressed his nose gently against her ribs and nudged her. The blood covered his nose and he felt his chest rising and falling more rapidly. A thousand questions raced through his mind as he stood there. Was she alright? How deep were the wounds? And would Blue survive? His eyes snapped up to Mist.

"Get Drake!" He growled as he looked back down to Blue. She was slightly cooler; he lay next to her and shared his warmth. "Blue, wake up! Please."

One minute she was standing in front of one of the biggest threats to her life, the next all she could see what white. All she could feel was white-hot pain. She could hear herself yelp, but it seemed so far away. In fact, she couldn't feel at all anymore. It all felt like a dream... a dream she had no control of.

She felt so tired. Sleep was calling her name. She had began to give in to its calls, before she heard vioces. At first, she couldn't recognise what they were saying, she could only tell who was speaking. Flame sounded worried, before she was cut off by something. Then came Katria's... "W a ha p e ?"

Blue felt something poke her side, sending a short burst of pain through her ribcage. And then, Gales voice, "G Drake!" Blue strained her ears, she was almost there... "Blue, wake up! Please."

She battled with her eyelids, prying open her crusted eyes. Everything was so blurry. Blue let out a soft whine. She wanted very much to know what was going on.

Gale immediately let out a breath of relief when Blue stirred. The soothsayer whined softly and the guardian brought himself closer to her. His warm flank was pressed against hers in order to keep the young fae warm. The white of his pelt clashed with hers slightly but at the moment that wasn't the most important thing.

"Are you alright?" He whispered.

Drake had been playing in his dust cloud again, so hadn't seen a thing. When he heard growling and whimpering, he froze, especially when he heard the cougar. 'Oh no' He thought as he walked out of his cloud and ran over to Flame and Blue. While he wanted to make sure Flame was okay, he could tell the Blue needed his attention much more than Flame. He judged her wounds then quickly collected some clean leaves, cob webs and dandelions. Rushing back, he snapped the dandelions so their white sap started seeping out. He gently rubbed the sap onto her deepest cuts to speed up healing. He then placed the clean leaves over the cuts, putting the cob webs over top to hold them in place. "If you're sore, chew the roots of the dandelion, it's a good pain killer." Drake then looked her in the eyes, worried that since she had been knocked out, she could have sustained a concision. Seeing her eyes weren't focusing well, he asked "Do you feel dizzy, have a headache or have blurry vision?"

Mist looked up at the alphanessand said, "As this young brute said, I have been searching for a pack. I came across this pack, and thought I should see if you have a place for me amongst your ranks."

Kanae had opened her jaws for a reply when snarling cut through the silence. Most everyone's attention seemed to slip away towards the clearing where she met mostly everyone. Her fear grew when she realized Blue was no longer there. Instantly, the Alphess was on her paws and racing to the clearing with Drake, Mist and Katria. She froze at the edge when she saw the blood.

Blue was slumped on the ground, Gale beside her and Drake helping with her injuries. Flame was also on the ground breathing heavily. In order to help anyone, Kanae would have to let her emotions sit backseat to her calm. Taking a breath, she quickly trotted to Blue and looked down at her friend, eyes clouded with worry.

"Do you feel dizzy, have a headache or have blurry vision?"

Kanae didn't linger beside her best friend for very long. Drake knew what he was doing; she was sure he'd take care of the Soothsayer. She leaned over and touched her nose to Blue's muzzle before straightening up and rushing to Flame. The Apprentice was out cold and therefore, the Alphess decided that she could clean the injured wolf's injuries. After all, she was a packmate and it would help Drake out. Settling down on the ground she started to carefully and gently lick away all of the dirt and rocks that were around Flame's wounds.

Mist growled as the cougar slipped away into the shadows. She decided it wasn't the right thing to follow him. I'll get him next time... The fae turned and limped slowly to where the others had grouped around the bleeding she wolf. "The cougar ran off... but he'll be back," she muttered as she sat down away from the others. Mist knew none of them were listening, but she didn't care. They were too concerned about their soothsayer. Turning her back to them, she began gentally licking her bleeding shoulder.
